No. The Bench does not take design responsibility. We may review a proposed construction detail against available evidence, but final design, specification, installation and project compliance remain with the relevant project duty holders and appointed professionals.

No. The Bench does not approve installations or provide site sign-off. We can review evidence and documentation relating to a product, system or proposed build-up, but installation approval and site responsibility sit with the relevant project parties.

Yes, The Bench can help project teams prepare a clearer evidence-led response where Building Control, an approved inspector or another project reviewer has asked for clarification. We can review the available documents, identify the evidence basis and prepare a written technical response for project discussion. The Bench does not act as Building Control and does not provide Building Control approval.
